Create a Complete Website with Neuron Builder
These are the 11 steps to creating a complete website with Neuron Builder. Here you have presented the basic steps you need to take to build a complete website, for a more complex nature and structure of your website you will need to take full advantage of the robust feature the Neuron Builder provides. Let's dive in.
Step One: Install Neuron Themes
- Go to Theme Forest and login to your account and navigate to Downloads
- Once you locate the Download button, click on it and find the Neuron Theme that you purchased
- Click on Download all Files, if you have downloaded it at least once then go with the second option Installable WordPress Only.
- If you have downloaded all the files, extract the .zip file into a folder.
- Go back to the WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > Themes
- Click on the Add New option
- Next on click on the Choose File button and find the .zip file you extracted earlier, choose that and upload it and click on Install
- Proceed with the wizard to fully install your theme and the required plugins.
- Being done with the installation process, you will need to activate the theme for it to be the main canvas of your website. Just click on the Activate button right under the theme and start creating your website.
Step Two: Start creating the pages
- From the WordPress Dashboard > Pages > Al Pages
- First, you will need to hover over the page template that a default WordPress installation comes bundled with. Click on the Trash button.
- Now begin with your first page. Click on Add New and type in the title for the page.
- Click on the Edit with Elementor button to begin designing your first page.
- From the editor page, you will see the elements panel on the left and the working canvas on the right.
- Click on the [library template icon] to import pre-made page templates from Neuron Library
- Search the library and find the template that fits your needs. Click on the Insert button.
- Your page will be ready in an instant.
- Click on the Publish button located on the bottom toolbar. Your page will be ready.
- Repeat the same steps for other pages as well.
Step Three: Set the first page of your website
- To set a certain page you design as the homepage for your website, from the WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Reading.
- Change the option "Your homepage displays" to A static page.
- From the dropdown menu select the home page you've just created and designed.
- Click on the Save Changes to apply the configurations.
Step Four: Build your first Menu
- From the WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > Menus
- First off, name your menu properly in the field required, so you know which one to use for future references. And then Click on Create Menu.
- You can add Pages, Posts, Custom Links, Categories to your menu. Click on each one of the menu items and it will open the settings window from where you can choose to add items from the three main tabs Most Recent, View All, and Search Item.
- Under Add Menu Item > Pages check the boxes net to all the pages you have created.
- Order the elements in the menu by easily dragging them into the desired order.
- To create child-level menus you simply drag the menu item a bit further and it will automatically become the submenu to the parent menu above. You can create multi-leveled menus, depending on your resources.
- Click on the Save
Step Five: Create the Header
- From the WordPress Dashboard > Templates > Theme Builder
- From there click on the Header tab
- Next press the Add New button to start creating your first header
- Name your template and click on Create Template
- Once again click on the [template library icon] search through the Neuron Library and find the header template to match your design
- Once you are done with building your header, click on Publish
- From there set the conditions and assign your header to be applied on the Entire Site.
Step Six: Create the Footer
- From the WordPress Dashboard > Templates > Theme Builder
- From there click on the Footer tab
- Next press the Add New button to start creating your first footer
- Simply name your footer and click on Create Template
- From there you will be presented with some of the most beautiful footer templates that you can insert with just a click. Select one that fits your design.
- Click on Insert and your footer will be imported in an instant.
- Once you are finished with building your footer, click on Publish
- From there you will need to set the conditions and assign your footer on the Entire Site.
Step Seven: Build the Archive Page
- From the WordPress Dashboard > Templates > Theme Builder.
- From there click on the Archive tab.
- Next press the Add New button to start creating your archive page.
- Name the template and click on Create Template.
- As per usual the stunning pre-made templates will follow through. Select the preferred style.
- Hover over the template and click on Insert.
- Make the adjustments necessary
- Click on Publish and assign your archive template
- Assign your archive to be shown on All Archives
Step Eight: Write your first post
- From the WordPress Dashboard > Posts > All Posts
- In a fresh WP installation, you will notice a default post named Hello World. We won't need that, so hover over the post and click on Trash to delete the post
- Click on Add New
- Write the title o your post. Type in the content
- Assign the category for the post, depending on the topic of your post as well as the website. Under Category, click on Add New Category.
- Repeat these steps to create even more posts.
- Click on Publish and view how your website looks.
Step Nine: Create the Single Post Template
- Just like the other parts on our website here too we will need to go to the WordPress Dashboard > Templates > Theme Builder
- Click on the Single Post tab
- Click on Add New
- Name your template and click on Create Template
- From the Neuron Library, select a pre-mad design that matches your website.
- Hover over the template design and click on Insert. Your single post template will be just ready.
- Click on Publish once you are done
- Add conditions and assign your single post template to appear in Category > select the category you have created.
Step Ten: Create the 404 Page
- Just like the other parts on our website here too we will need to go to the WordPress Dashboard > Templates > Theme Builder
- Click on the Single tab
- Click on Add New
- From there under Select Post Type choose 404 Page
- Name the template and click on Create Template
- From the Neuron Library search through the 404 pre-made designs
- Hover over the preferred design and click on Insert
- Once you are done with the configurations click on Publish
- Include your page to appear on 404 Page as a condition
- You are done, click a nonexistent URL on your site and check to see if your 404 page template was implemented
