Integration with PODS

How to add Custom Fields with PODS

  1. First, you will need to install the PODS plugin, upon installation you will find it on the WP Dashboard panel 
  2. Click on Add New 
  3. Choose the Content-Type, either Custom Post Type, Custom Taxonomy, or Custom Settings Page. 
  4. Type in the Singular Label, this is applied for one item or Plural Label that will appear for Add Field more than one item 
  5. From the Manage Field tab click on  Add Field 
  6. Type in the Label, Name, Description, Field Type, and choose whether the custom filed shall be required. 
  7. If you go to the WordPress Dashboard > Posts > Add New, you will find all the custom fields you created with PODS, fill in the required information, and spread your content.

How to Add PODS to your Single Post Template 

  1. Go to Template > Theme Builder > Single 
  2. Click on Add New, and from the dropdown menu select Post 
  3. Click on the [kog icon] 
  4. Under Preview Settings select the post you want to preview 
  5. Drag an element that's assigned with dynamic content,
  6. Click on the [dynamic barrel icon] and from the dropdown menu select Pods Field or Pods Date Field 
  7. Under Settings > Key, write the custom field you want to add. 
  8. For more flexibility, you can also use the Before, After, and Fallback that's located under the Advanced. You can add text before or after the dynamic content, or use a fallback test when no content is found
